JACKSON HOME TURNED 100

Happy 100th birthday to Miriam Jackson Home!

Dedicated on March 6, 1924, the building was a gift from Dr. and Mrs. Fred M. Jackson of Birmingham. In Jackson Home's long history at Huntingdon College, the building was first dedicated as the campus infirmary. In later years, the rooms housed faculty offices and administrative offices. In 2003, Jackson Home made its film debut as the sorority house in Tim Burton's movie, Big Fish. No matter the season of life, the building has become an important part of the history and scenery of Huntingdon College.

Today, Jackson is the beloved home for the Office of Student Development, Residential Communities, College and Alumni Relations, Student Health Services, the Center for Career and Vocation, and the Phyllis Gunter Snyder Center for Campus Ministries. Thanks to all who stopped by Jackson Home on Wednesday for donuts and to celebrate this grand campus centenarian.
