HURRICANE IAN: HELP YOUR TEAM MEMBERS

As you know, within the last 10 days, our team has responded to 10 large-scale disasters around the world, with Florida now seeing the devastating impacts of Hurricane Ian, which will continue to move through surrounding areas. From Tropical Storm Fiona to Typhoon Noru, we are rapidly disbursing financial assistance to those who have been affected.

HOW TO HELP IMPACTED TEAM MEMBERS

As a reminder, launching an IRP at IRPcreate.com is recommended when charitable class members are impacted by a qualified disaster. The IRP provides essential financial assistance in small dollar amounts very quickly.

The IRP is supplemental to the fund’s standard grant program. Please note that launching an IRP does not disqualify those grant recipients from applying for additional assistance through the standard grant program. If you choose not to launch an IRP, the standard grant is available to those impacted by this disaster under the Natural Disaster or Impacts Primary Residence event categories.

As always, please contact your Relief Fund Senior Advisor with any questions, and thank you for your dedication to helping your own!

RESOURCES & REMINDERS

> If needed, you can watch this video to learn how to utilize the IRP.

> Visit the EAF Comms Archive on the Fund Partner Portal* to view all recently declared (IRP-eligible) disasters.

> The Fund Partner Portal* also has a library of useful disaster response resources, including communication samples, campaign ideas, IRP info and more.

> Ensure that the Fund Balance can support expected grants. Our Donation Methods Guide can be viewed hereAs a reminder, it is strongly recommended to maintain a minimum fund balance of six months of expected grants during normal activity. During times of large-scale disasters, when application volume increases, the minimum recommended fund balance may not be adequate to cover awarded grants.
