The Village of BHI has put a curfew into effect for this evening from 5pm to 9am on Tuesday. Once the curfew goes into effect, please remain on your property and inform your guests or renters about the curfew as well. The Village's emergency team will evaluate the condition of the Island on Tuesday morning and will remove any downed trees or other hazards before giving the all clear for individuals to get out and about.
After that "all clear" is given, property owners will likely find trees/branches that need to be addressed. Please review required tree trimming/removal process that should be followed for after-storm cleanup. It is important for property owners to understand whom to contact to navigate approval by BHA and the Village of BHI to trim/remove trees impacted by the storm.
