SEVERE WEATHER NOTIFICATION | THURSDAY, OCT. 10, 2024

Hurricane Milton has passed over central Florida and will continue east in the Atlantic Ocean. Our area will see impacts through tonight including possible coastal flooding in low-lying areas, wind gusts up to 40 mph, and dangerous marine conditions. The 2 p.m. high tide is our biggest flooding concern.

A Tropical Storm Watch is in effect for coastal South Carolina and a Wind Advisory is in effect for Charleston County.

There is a high risk for deadly rip currents, high surf and beach erosion. Rain is not anticipated for our area. Although today's high tide is the largest concern, Friday's high tide at 3 p.m. may also produce coastal flooding.
