Hurricane Milton Impacts at Holy Cross Catholic Church

Thursday Update

"We are all called to be joyful witnesses to the Gospel. Waiting patiently is part of that joy, trusting in God’s plan." Pope Francis

Dear Parish Family,

We are excited to share some wonderful news! Starting Saturday, October 19th, we will celebrate Mass in the Parish Hall at 4:00 p.m. Join us in this joyful gathering! Confessions will also be available in the Parish Hall at 11:00 a.m. that same day.

After this special day, we’ll continue our regular Mass schedule in the Parish Hall until we can reunite in our beautiful Church once again.

For now, please use the Iris Lane entrance to enter and exit, as the A1A entrance is currently unsafe.

Fr. Tom and Fr. Serge are keeping our community in their hearts, offering private Masses for all the intentions you’ve entrusted to us until October 19th.

Important updates for our Religious Education parents:

  • The Confirmation and First Eucharist Meetings have been postponed.
  • The start of Children’s Liturgy of the Word is also on hold.
  • Coffee & Donuts will also be on hold for the time being.
  • However, Religious Education classes will continue next week at the usual times!

We deeply appreciate your patience and support as we step into this hopeful new chapter together!

Please remember that the Church building is a construction zone, so we kindly ask that you refrain from visiting for now.

In more exciting news, we’re bringing back our regular activities in the Parish Hall!

We warmly invite everyone, young and old, to our Fall Festival on Thursday, October 24th, as we celebrate our vibrant Parish community together!

Your prayers and encouragement mean so much to us during this time.

May God bless you all as you keep our parish close in your hearts and prayers!
