Hurricane Sandy Volunteering


"Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food.  If one of you says to them, 'Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,' but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it?  In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead." James 2:15-17     

While most begin their plans to enter into a very joyous time of the year which begins with that great gathering with friends and family around a table overflowing with an abundance of food (a true symbol of our Lord's abundant blessings upon us in the previous year) and then moves into the very festive Christmas season, there are many who are not at all ready to even think about entering such a season.  In NY and NJ, the lives of many, including a good number of OPC families, have had their lives turned upside down, inside out, as a result of devastation Hurricane Sandy caused on the NJ / NY shoreline...  (Read on)

God is Blessing the Project in Ishinomaki    


Team #2 rose to the occasion and met the challenges of construction manager John Voss. The team was able to complete the installation of all the exterior siding and trim even with several rainy days. This task took the better part of 6 days to complete and was quite a challenge to all. Even with the gray primed surface, the building looks wonderful....  (Read on)
