This Friday the Hyacks will travel to Victoria to take on the defending provincial champion, Mt Douglas Rams.

For the 2nd straight year it rained on Homecoming night, but once again that didn't scare off Hyack Nation, which turned out in large numbers at Mercer Stadium. The pre-game party included the Save On Family Fun Zone, bouncy castles and games along with the Alumni Flag Football game and tug-o-war event was fun for all.
At halftime the White Spot Pipe Band entertained the fans, while members of the Royal City Hyacks youth football program played flag football games at halftime and the cheerleaders performed between quarters. Bill Kastelein won a 2004 Ford Escape, valued at $5000.
Hyacks Football would like to thank Key West Ford, media sponsor the New Westminster Record, along with all other sponsors, parents and volunteers who made Homecoming 2019 another memorable event.

The JV Hyacks came from behind to win their game of the season Thursday, 35-20 over GW Graham at Mercer Stadium. Trailing 14-6 at halftime, the Hyacks scored 4 straight TDs. The team will be at home again this Thursday against the defending provincial JV champions from Kelowna.

Both the NWSS and RCHFC programs would like to say thank you to Athena Dancey for her contributions to Hyack Football. Coach Athena started the RCHFC cheer program TEN years ago! Her youngest son Andros came through the youth program and is now a member of the varsity team, while her older son Trew played in both programs also, before earning a football scholarship to McMaster University. Athena has seen it all in our program and never stops smiling!
