HYACKS RETURN HOME THIS FRIDAY NIGHT
After three straight road games, the Hyacks are now back in the friendly confines of Mercer Stadium for their final three games of the regular season. New West comes into the game following one of the most exciting games of the year, a 38-35 loss to Notre Dame at Burnaby Lake. After trailing for most of the game, the Hyacks staged an impressive comeback to lead 35-32 late in the 4th quarter, before the Jugglers scored on the game's final play.
In his first varsity start, Greyson Planinsic set a school record by rushing for 5 TDs in the contest. He finished with 194 yards rushing on 15 carries. Michael Kingsley rushed for 135 yards and Peyton Myers made his first varsity start at QB, as the Hyacks turned in their highest offensive yardage output of the season. Defensively Matthew Lalim registered 15 tackles, while Evan Nolli made 9 tackles.
The Hyacks saw their 15 game regular season winning streak against BC competition, dating back to Oct 2016, come to an end. They are now 3-1 in conference play (4-2 overall). They will play Vancouver College on Friday, Oct 12th at 7:30pm.

The RCHFC continued their regular season this past weekend:
Despite a loss at South Delta, there were some solid performances for the Jr Bantams on Monday. Teagan Barre played well on both sides of the ball, intercepting 2 passes on defense, and throwing a number of good passes from his QB position, despite facing pressure. Jayden Bustamante played with great intensity from start to finish and Jack Turner was strong in coverage.
The pee wees will play their first of two straight Friday Night games this weekend. They will be looking to get back on the winning track after a 21-0 loss at Coquitlam. Nigel Derasp stood out defensively with 2 QB sacks, while Mateo McDonell played hard from start to finish with a 50+ yard run in the 4th quarter.
Team Orange defeated Westside 24-12 under the lights on Friday night. The offensive line, led by center Nicholas Moretto, didn't allow any sacks. Dylan Jones made a dynamite block that allowed Jett Abel to score his first of 3 TDs. Sean Inglis and Kendrick Marasigan stood out on defense.
