For the 5th straight year, the Hyacks will host a playoff game at Mercer Stadium as they will take on Mt Douglas on Friday at 2pm. New West enters the game following a first round bye and as Western Conference champions with a perfect 7-0 record. The team wrapped up the regular season with a very strong performance in a 63-16 win over South Delta on Seniors Night.
This will be the 2nd meeting of the season between the two teams, with the Hyacks winning 29-6 in the regular season opener for both teams on Sept 22nd in Victoria. The home team will be looking for big performances from the likes of Sammy Sidhu, Sebastien Reid, Isaiah James and Yanni Angelopoulos, who were all recently names to the AAA Western Conference All-star team. LBs Kinsale Philip and Lucas Sabau are also coming off big games, while the bye week has benefited the likes of TE Finn Stark and lineman Evan Nolli who will return to full speed this week.
With the early 2pm start time, students will be allowed to miss their D blocks class to attend the game and will be admitted free if they wear orange or black.

The JVs continued their winning ways with a 29-15 win in their AAA Wildcard playoff game last Thursday at Mercer Stadium. Dominic Racher led the way, scoring 2 TDs along the ground. Himat Garcha and Greyson Planinsic each added a TD. Pavan Kainth was dominant on both sides of the line of scrimmage while Taran Birdi also stood out.
The JV Hyacks remain unbeaten with an 8-0-1 overall record and will travel to Cloverdale Athletic Park on Thursday to take on Lord Tweedsmuir in a AAA quarter playoff game at 1:30pm.

It was a heartbreaking end to a fantastic regular season for the Atom team, as they fell 14-8 in overtime in the VMFL Championship game. The Hyacks led 8-0 for most of the game, thanks to a long TD run by Nathan Hillmann on the team's first drive. Guido Catania was among those who stood out in an exceptional defensive performance by the Hyacks.
This was the best Atom team in the history of RCHFC, as they finished with an 8-2 overall record and advanced to the finals for the first time at the atom level. The coaching staff is very proud of this group as they have laid a foundation of success as they make their way through the program.
The last Hyacks team standing is the Atom Flag team, as they defeated the Raiders 34-8 in the GSL quarter finals. AJ Meltzer scored 4 rushing TDs and added an interception on defense. Jett Abel also had an interception and a TD pass to Gavin Domaas. There was great blocking by the O-line of Alex Morosoff, James Loredo and Kai Lewin. The team will now move on to the GSL semi-finals this Sunday.
