After a slow start, the Hyacks got their game in gear and defeated the Carson Graham Eagles 36-14 in the regular season opener for both teams. Broxx Comia got the home team on the board with a 25 yard run, which gave the Hyacks an 8-6 lead that they wouldn't relinquish. Michael Kingsley scored from 20 yards out, his his first of 2 TDs on the night, before gr 10 lineman, Vishaan Narayan brought the house down with a 75 yard fumble return to make it 22-6 at halftime. Kinsale Philip rounded out the scoring with an 18 yard run.
As a team the Hyacks rushed for 331 yards, with both Kingsley and Comia going over the 100 yard mark. Evan Nolli was a standout defensively once again with 8 tackles and a sack. Other strong all-around performances came from Greyson Planinsic and Shaye Rathjen. Kingley was named the SportChek Player of the Game while Narayan was named Dairy Queen Lineman of the Game.

Much like the Varsity, the JVs fell behind 6-0, but then came storming back to win 22-6. Deakon Taylor-Young scored a pair of TDs while Andros Dancey added one on a QB sneak. Aidan Sattler set up one of the scores by fighting off defenders to catch a 42 yard pass. Gus Oliver rounded out the scoring with a safety in the 2nd half. Manaf Al Jiwadi and Ethan Bresser stood out on defense. Next up for the JVs will be a trip to Kelowna this Thursday.

The RCHFC continued their regular season this past weekend. Members of selected youth teams will be playing at halftime of Homecoming this Friday night:
JBs lost 24-6 to the Richmond Raiders but not without some standout performances. Quarterback Teagan Barre and receiver Trey McClenan connected on five passes for over 70 yards of offence. Maxim Butkovsky was a thorn in Richmond's side, trucking Richmond defenders while carrying the ball and leading the team in tackles on defence. Jaxson Domville scored the lone Hyacks TD.
The Pee Wees lost to North Surrey 26-6, but after a slow start they improved steadily as the game went on. Benicio Hageleit had a pair of long runs deep into Cardinals territory and scored the only Hyacks TD. Eli Smith caught his first pass, Connor Baker and Noah Perera played will along the line, while Milan Kos continues to get better every week, regardless of where the coaches play him.
Team Black defeated Team Orange, led by Benjamin MacKinnon, who scored 3 touchdowns and was 4 for 4 kicking converts. Defensively, George Paterakis scored on an interception return and Luca Mauxion made a key sack.  For Team Orange, Brody Busch and Rowan Boivin battled through the line and had multiple sacks each.
The Flag Black team defeated North Surrey 28-6. Travis Zimmerman threw 3 TD passes, 2 of them caught by Mason Smith and 1 by Alex Paterakis.
