COMIA PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Congrats to Broxx Comia who was named BC Lions/Subway Player of the week for his performance in the Quarter Final win over Lord Tweedsmuir. Comia finished with 299 yards rushing and tied a school record with 5 TDs. He was also recognized with one of the top playoff performances across Canada by CFC.

HYACKS TO PLAY FOR PROVINCIAL CHAMPIONSHIP!

For the 2nd consecutive year, the Hyacks will be playing on the final day of the season with a chance to take home Subway Bowl AAA Championship, thanks to an impressive 33-0 win over Terry Fox on Saturday at BC Place. Kinsale Philip threw 3 TD passes, including a pair to Matthew Lalim and one to Matt DrakeGreyson Planinsic rushed for 153 yards and 1 TD, while Zachery Northgraves kicked a pair of field goals.
 
Defensively it was the first ever shutout for the Hyacks in a playoff game. Shaye Rathjen, Philip and Planinsic led the way with 7 tackles each. Matthew Lalim (6 tackles, 1 sack), Vishaan Narayan (5 tackles, 3 for loss), Evan Nolli (4 tackles, 1 sack, 1 fumble recovery), were also among those who stood out.
The Hyacks will now take on Mt Douglas in the Subway Bowl AAA Championship game on Saturday, Dec 1st at 7pm at BC Place.

SUBWAY BOWL WEEK

As part of Subway Bowl Week the Hyacks were honored at the Subway Bowl All-star Awards Banquet on Tuesday night at the Italian Cultural Center. Evan Nolli received his Provincial All-star award at the event.
 
On Friday, Nov 30 the school will hold a Pep Rally for the Hyacks at 2pm in Massey Gym.

YOUTH FOOTBALL

ATOM:
Team Orange defeated Team Black 32-22 in the semi-finals. The defense was led by the stellar play of Brody Busch who had more than half dozen flags for sacks or losses. The offence was led by Gavin Domaas who caught a TD pass from Jett Abel. Abel also contributed with a TD Kickoff return and ran for another two scores while converting all 4 PATs. Team Orange will now play the Westside Warriors White in the VMFL championship.
