Hybrid Learning Update l 9/29/20
Dear Carondelet Families,

Today, the State lowered Contra Costa County’s Blueprint for a Safer Economy status from PURPLE/Widespread to RED/Substantial. As we informed our families in the Sunday e-News, this means that if the County remains in this RED/Substantial category for two weeks, Carondelet will be released to return to our hybrid learning model at the end of that time frame.

There are still a number of steps that Carondelet and De La Salle need to take for a safe and successful reopening of school. The middle of next week, we will be sending our families an update of all significant dates including when we expect to safely reopen campus. Additionally, in the coming weeks, we will provide a comprehensive plan that will include all schedules, protocols, procedures, and other relevant information.

One of the immediate actions that our families must complete is a short survey that will be sent tomorrow (Wednesday, Sept. 30) via email that will identify your daughter’s intention for coming back to school in the hybrid format, or if she will continue with distance learning from home.

As we near our return to campus, we will create a “Reopening Campus” video for our families that will serve as a great resource to help our community transition back to on-campus learning.

Please remember to review with your family our Flexible Learning Plan that includes the hybrid learning section starting on page six and protocols on page 13. You can also find it and other resources on our Distance Learning page on our website.

Finally, know that our highest priority continues to be the safety and well-being of our students, families, faculty, and staff.

Thank you,
Kevin Cushing
