April 7th, 2021

Dear Sea King Families,

In response to the district communication earlier this week, we would like to clarify a few questions regarding the return of in-person learning. We are so excited to welcome our Hybrid students back to campus starting next week, April 12th. Hybrid students will be on campus 2 days a week for the week of April 12th and starting the week of April 19th, will be on campus 4 days a week. Wednesdays all students will stay home to participate in virtual learning.

To verify which program (Hybrid or DLA) your student is participating in, please check your student’s schedule in Aeries – it will show up as a 9th period class.  If you would like to request a change in program, please click here. If a schedule change is required, you will be contacted before the change is made.  If you have already submitted a request to change programs, please check Aeries before submitting another request.

The week of April 12th will follow the schedule below.  Teachers will be providing concurrent instruction for all students.  Students should still log in to class virtually every day if they are DLA or in the designated at-home group.

All students participating in hybrid learning on campus must wear a mask or face covering at all times while on campus and follow all social distancing guidelines.  Students participating in hybrid learning should remember to bring the following materials with them to school:
  • Fully charged personal device such as a laptop or computer
  • Headphones
  • Class materials including textbooks
  • Lunch/Snack
  • Extra Masks as needed

Students participating in the hybrid program who will be on campus starting Monday April 12th, will be able to receive a free hot meal for both snack and lunch. Students participating in the DLA program will be able to pick up a meal from the drive thru station daily.

As a reminder to all our Sea Kings, LA County DPH guidelines will be followed while on campus. This includes students completing their daily “Green Screen” clearance which will be shown to staff upon arrival to campus.  If answering the screening results in a “Red Screen”, do not come to school and contact the school immediately.

Parents please continue to report all absences to the attendance office through phone or email. This includes Hybrid students who are sick or participating in classes from home on a particular day. To review a copy of the parent webinar, frequently asked questions, and more, please click the link below.

Thank you for your ongoing support of PVHS. We are excited to see our students return to campus next week.

Sincerely,

Allan Tyner, Ed.D.
