Election Results...Thank You Hyland Hills!
Ballot A Results

The May 5th election for the mill levy extension was a solid win for the Hyland Hills community, and we thank everyone for your confidence and trust. Ballot A passed by a large margin, ensuring that the facilities and programs offered by the Hyland Hills Park and Recreation District will be maintained and improved into the future. We are humbled by the level of community enthusiasm and participation in the election and your willingness to get involved. We assure you that all the promises made during the election process will be met. We are now actively planning several projects that were included in the community-led Master Plan, and hope to begin implementing some of these projects in 2021.

Projects include:
  • Conserving and maintaining natural areas and open space
  • Maintaining and improving neighborhood parks throughout the District
  • Repairing and improving aging District facilities to provide updated services for children, families and seniors
  • Improving safety at, and access to, parks, recreational facilities and trails
  • Providing more active recreation; improving energy efficiency and savings at District facilities, and much more!

We also heartily congratulate incumbent Chris Dittman , who was re-elected to the
Board of Directors for a second term. Welcome back Chris!
COVID-19 & Facility Closures
Unfortunately, most of our facilities at Hyland Hills remain closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We know everyone wants this all to be over, and so do we, because we miss you, but your health and safety and the safety of our employees, is paramount. For now, the situation, by official order, is that Hyland Hills Park and Recreation District facilities must remain closed with programing cancelled or postponed until public officials determine it is safe to open. You may see some Hyland Hills employees out and about at certain facilities. We are trying to keep things well maintained and operational for when we are given the full go-ahead to resume operations. The Greg Mastriona Golf Courses at Hyland Hills were given the approval to open with some limitations and that facility is doing well. We appreciate everyone’s patience during this time and we hope to be back in full swing very soon. Please check our website for updates at www.hylandhills.org.
