Sunday Worship at 10am

Location: Monkey Wrench Brewing

3425 Martin Farm Rd., Suwanee, GA 30024

Good News Family & Friends,

We're super excited to be hosting the second ever Hymns & Hops family friendly event in all of metro Atlanta! Hymns & Hops started in Greenville, SC nearly seven years ago and has spread to multiple states around the country. Good News Church brought Hymns & Hops to Atlanta this past April when we gathered at Monkey Wrench Brewing with nearly 200 people in attendance, and we're doing it again!

Hymns & Hops is THIS Sunday, June 26 (7pm - 9pm) at Slow Pour Brewing (Lawrenceville). Grubbin' Out food truck will be serving delicious sliders and Slow Pour Brewing will be serving fantastic beers! Soft drinks and bottled waters will also be available. Feel free to come early and hang out! Help spread the word, invite friends, and come join us!

Sunday Worship (10am)

Come join us on Sundays (10am) for breakfast, social connections, and worship! It's summer (and warmer in the warehouse), so feel free to dress casual and comfortable. With many on vacation each week this summer, we're lighter on breakfast fare, so if you'd like to pitch in and bring food to share, that would be great! If you bring food, feel free to make or pick something up (i.e., donuts, bagels, sausage biscuits, etc.).

Quote of the Week

"Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father. There is no shadow of turning with Thee

Thou changest not, Thy compassions they fail not. As Thou hast been, Thou forever wilt be. Great is Thy faithfulness! Great is Thy faithfulness! Morning by morning new mercies I see. All I have needed Thy hand hath provided. Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord unto me!” - Thomas Chisholm (from the hymn “Great Is Thy Faithfulness”)

Verse of the Week

“Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.” - Colossians 3:16

This is a great opportunity for our church family, neighbors, and friends to gather, hang out together, and enjoy one of the best fireworks shows in metro Atlanta. We'll stake out space and set up tents early that day. Bring chairs, food to share, and BYOB (no glass) starting at 5pm.

S.H.A.P.E. Response Form

We recently wrapped up our series helping us to better understand how God has given each of us a unique S.H.A.P.E. (Spiritual Gifts - Heart / Passions - Abilities / Skills - Personality - Experiences of Life). We'd love to hear back what you learned and discovered by completing this S.H.A.P.E. Response Form

S.H.A.P.E. Assessment

If you haven't yet completed the assessment, you can access it online here.

The vision of Good News Church GA is "to experience and express LOVE from God to others." The verse that undergirds our vision is Galatians 5:5b, “The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.” We value people, community, relationships, prayer, and Bible reading. We also value being able to be yourself. We’re all struggling with something, so there’s no need to pretend that we have it all together.

Need a daily Bible reading plan? Drue's favorite is the Bible in One Year APP

Good News Church GA is dreaming big and taking action! This is just the beginning, but we can't do it without financial support. Good News Church GA is a 501(c)3 non-profit, so all contributions are tax deductible. If you'd like to support what God is doing through this brand new church, you can give online here. You can also give on Sundays or mail a check payable to "Good News Church GA" to 5879 Hillside Farm Rd., Sugar Hill, GA 30518.

If you'd like to request prayer and/or talk or meet with either of the pastors (Drue or Ray) and/or their spouses for questions and/or conversation about faith, spiritual journey, doubts, fears, prayer needs, etc., we'd love to connect with you. Grateful for you!
