Business Growth
Year over year, Hyperion grew 269% from 2020 to 2021. THANK YOU for your trust, confidence and referrals; we are proud to be your financial partner.
We want your feedback
Customer service survey
Your valuable feedback, please…
Hyperion Bank customers should have recently received (via email) a brief Customer Service Survey that only takes a few minutes to complete. Thank you in advance for taking the time to participate in our survey. If you are a Hyperion customer and have not completed it, please use this link and do so when convenient. We value the opportunity to be your banking and mortgage partner and value your feedback.

Surveys completed and returned by April 29, 2022, that include name and contact information will be entered in a drawing for a $100 Visa gift card; we'll draw one winner each in the Atlanta and Philadelphia markets. You may also choose to complete the survey anonymously. Whether or not you choose to identify yourself, please know all surveys will be carefully reviewed.

If you would rather receive and complete a paper copy of the survey, please visit one of our banking offices or request a copy by emailing or calling 215-789-4480. Of course, you may provide your feedback at any time to any Hyperion associate. After all, we are committed to providing an excellent service experience and know that requires continuous improvement, including your valued feedback.

If you have questions about the survey or input about this or other banking topics, please call on us. Thank you,

Electronics Recycling
Mark your calendar
Electronics recycling day
With Earth Day (April 22) and Tax Day (April 18) coming up, it’s a great time to think about cleaning up and cleaning out!

Please take advantage of our Electronics Recycling Event Tues, April 19: From 9a-4p a special collection bin will be located in the parking lot adjacent to Hyperion Bank’s Atlanta banking office. We’ll also have a shredding bin available in case you have a “Banker’s Box” or two of old documents to dispose of.

In case you cannot make it on the 19th, we’ll be accepting unwanted electronics inside the banking office from 10a-3p each day from Tues, April 12-Mon, April 18. The shredding bin also will be available for your box or two of documents.

Data will be removed from recycled devices onsite (as time permits; all remaining electronics will be securely “wiped” offsite). Electronics recycling will be at no cost to you, with the exception of CRT Monitors, which may require a $25 processing fee per unit, due to heavy metals and caustic components.

Any such fee will be collected by Data Delete Recycle – electronic recycling & data security, with whom we are partnering for this event, or we’ll collect it and pass it to them.

What electronics will be accepted for recycling? Computers, laptops, e-readers, blu-ray/DVD/VCR players, flat-screen televisions, scanners, server & data storage, laptop peripherals, computer monitors (again, note possible small fee for these), tablets, mobile phones, digital cameras, PDAs, computer UPS batteries, printers, mainframes, audio/video receivers, video game consoles, shredders, video conferencing equipment, digital cameras, network hardware, data-storage devices, MP3 players, fax machines, computer peripherals, and more.

When you make your drop, please take a Hyperion Bank reusable tote, also in the spirit of sustainability. Questions about Hyperion’s electronics recycling? Contact Joel Higdon or Kenny Harris, 404-381-2110.
IRA
Save for retirement
Let us help with your IRA, Roth IRA
One of the easiest ways to save for retirement is with an Individual Retirement Account (IRA); you can make prior-year contributions until April 18. The most popular types are Traditional IRAs and Roth IRAs. Visit Hyperion Bank and let us help you start saving today.

The 2021 and 2022 contribution limits for IRAs remain at $6,000, if you are 50 or over. A traditional IRA offers tax-deferred growth, and your contributions may be deductible. A Roth is not tax deductible, but earnings may be tax free. Ask your tax professional which is right for you. If your children have earned income, they can have an IRA as well.

Contact Kenny Harris or Joel Higdon in Atlanta (404-381-2110) or Bob Senske in Philadelphia (215-789-4203) for an assist with IRAs or Roth IRAs.
Wire transfer
Online option
Wire transfer requests
We have again expanded the services available to our business customers by adding Wire Transfer Requests to our online banking platform. This enables customers to submit wire requests securely, without the need for e-mail or faxes.

If you have completed a Wire Transfer Agreement after Dec. 17, 2021, you will NOT have to complete it again. Please just email stating you would like to have the service enabled, and it will be turned on within 5 business days.

If you completed a Wire Transfer Agreement prior to Dec. 17,2021, or are interested in the ability to send wires, please complete a new agreement, starting by emailing us and stating you need to complete a new Wire Transfer Agreement. A representative will reach out to you directly via phone or email. Once we have the new completed agreement the service will be turned on within 5 business days.

If you have not completed a Wire Transfer Agreement, or simply do not want the service turned on as a preference, you do not need to do anything. If you are unsure if you have completed a Wire Transfer Agreement or if you know you have not completed one and would like to do so, please email or visit the Hyperion banking office or call 215-789-4200 or 404-381-2110.

Speaking of banking
Charlie Crawford speaking to the Investors Club
Hyperion’s Charlie Crawford recently spoke to the Atlanta Student Investors Club, as part of its ongoing speaker series. Students heard the longtime community banker and serial entrepreneur share experiences starting, growing and re-energizing banks, as well as learning about his bank board service and leadership.

Charlie was invited by Miles Oden (pictured with Charlie above), a member of the Investors Club who is a student in the “Scaling a New Venture” course Charlie is teaching in Georgia State University’s Entrepreneurship & Innovation Department. Charlie earned his MBA from Georgia State and serves as a friend of the Board of Advisors for GSU’s J. Mack Robinson College of Business.

Let us know if you would like a community banker to speak to your event!
