Fishtown Trolley

Hyperion Bank doesn’t just finance businesses – it helped turn Philadelphia’s Fishtown into one of the “hottest new neighborhoods in America,” backing early developers, restaurants & entrepreneurs before the boom. Today, that same hands-on lending approach is helping small businesses and investors grow in Philly, Atlanta & beyond. How can we help you boom?

Field Forge homes

Customer Focus: Field & Forge delivers personalized homes, lasting relationships

Justin Rhodes

Field & Forge Development Group specializes in custom home builds, renovations and investment properties, working with clients at every stage of the process – from early planning conversations to final construction. What sets the company apart is its highly personalized, relationship-driven approach.

“We treat every home as if it were our own,” says Justin Rhodes, Founder of the residential and commercial development firm serving North Georgia and western North Carolina. “That mindset guides everything we do, from how we communicate with clients to the level of detail we bring to each project.”

Hyperion is proud to support businesses that are not only growing but doing so with a strong commitment to their clients and communities.

From passion project to growing company

Field Forge

Field & Forge’s growth has been fueled by a strong reputation and a client-first philosophy. After spending years building homes on the side while working in corporate America, Rhodes transitioned to running the business full-time just a few years ago.

Since then, the company has expanded rapidly, adding team members and scaling operations to meet increasing demand. And Rhodes notes that spending time in fast-paced startups and corporate America has helped him and his team bring a sense of professionalism to their homebuilding work.

As a result, much of Field & Forge’s growth has come through referrals – a reflection of the trust Rhodes and his team build with each client. Whether working with first-time home builders, seasoned investors or families planning for future needs, the team takes time to understand each client’s lifestyle and long-term goals.

Trusted, tailored & flexible

Field Forge

One of Field & Forge’s strengths is meeting clients wherever they are in the process. Some arrive with detailed plans in hand, while others are just beginning to explore the idea of building or renovating a home.

“We guide clients through every step, connecting them with trusted architects, surveyors and planners, and offering insights to refine plans and align projects with both current needs and future possibilities,” Rhodes says.

Rather than a one-size-fits-all model, the company emphasizes thoughtful collaboration. Initial meetings are designed to be low-pressure conversations – an opportunity to learn about the client and determine whether the partnership is the right fit. And, as the business expands, its focus remains the same: delivering high-quality homes and creating seamless, supportive experience for clients.

Collaborative success

Field & Forge values the partnerships that help make each project possible. Rhodes notes that working with Amy Ellis (SVP Commercial Lending) and Hyperion Bank has been a consistently positive experience, particularly when navigating the financial side of development projects.

“She’s very attentive and detail-oriented,” Rhodes says. “She’s available when we need her and always willing to help think through solutions.” He adds that Ellis’s ability to work with clients at different levels of experience – whether first-time builders or seasoned investors – helps create a smoother, more comfortable process for everyone involved.

Hyperion is proud to support Field & Forge and its commitment to craftsmanship, integrity and client relationships. As the company continues to grow, it remains grounded in a simple but powerful goal: Building homes that truly reflect the people who live in them.

Field & Forge continues to invest in its growth, including an updated website showcasing recent projects and reflecting its evolving portfolio.

Holocaust Remembrance Day

On Holocaust Remembrance Day (April 14), we pause to honor the memory of the millions of lives lost and to reflect on the importance of dignity, compassion & standing against hate in all its forms. May we continue to build a community rooted in respect, understanding, and care for one another.

Admin Professionals Day

Happy Administrative Professionals Day (April 22). THANK YOU to all of the office professionals who keep things running seamlessly day in and day out! And thanks for often being a valuable point of contact with our customers. We see you! How can we help smooth banking processes to best serve you and your organization…?

Earth Day

This Earth Day (April 22), small choices add up: Go paperless, bank digitally & support local – simple ways your everyday community banking can make a difference. Together, we can grow a greener community.

Earth Day began on April 22, 1970, when millions of Americans rallied for cleaner air and water, helping spark the modern environmental movement and the creation of key protections like the EPA. Today, it’s a global day of action focused on sustainability, conservation & community efforts to protect our planet.

Buckhead Signs

Five years of progress: Atlanta Police Department Zone 2 reports consistent decreases in overall crime across Buckhead, the neighborhood in which Hyperion’s banking office is located. Continued investment in public safety and active community partnerships are making a difference in keeping our neighborhoods secure. We are grateful to law enforcement for their dedicated service and commitment. Buckhead’s public safety campaign is spearheaded by the Buckhead Community Improvement District, Livable Buckhead & the Buckhead Coalition. Hyperion’s Charlie Crawford is a member of the Buckhead Coalition and previously served as the historic organization’s treasurer.

Antoinette Hughes

Hyperion Bank is proud to share that Antoinette (Toni) Hughes, CRCM (EVP & Compliance Department Manager for the bank), has joined the board of Status: Home (formerly Jerusalem House).

No doubt Toni’s 30 years of banking, finance & regulatory expertise are a valued addition to the board of this vital nonprofit, which is the oldest & largest provider of permanent housing, holistic support and empowerment for Atlanta’s low-income and homeless individuals & families impacted by HIV/AIDS.

Danielle Selway

“Thank you for allowing me to continue to grow and create amazing memories with a wonderful group of people,”

Danielle Selway

Danielle recently celebrated her 16th anniversary with the bank; quite an accomplishment at a bank that will turn 20 later this year! She brings 20+ years’ banking experience to her role. In her leisure time, Danielle pursues her affinity for body art and raising tarantulas by attending local tattoo and reptile conventions. Congratulations, Danielle!

Community banking & financial literacy

Financial Literacy Month

April is Community Banking Month, celebrating the independent spirit and unwavering commitment of community banks – of, by & for the community. Among other ways Hyperion Bank customers recognize this is through our local decision making and direct involvement in the communities we serve.

April is ALSO Financial Literacy Month. Financial literacy happens naturally as community banks like ours go about working side by side with customers and communities, observing firsthand their needs and goals and helping structure the best ways to reach those goals.
