Hyperion earns Inc. 5000 recognition for third consecutive year | | |
Hyperion Bank has once again been named to the Inc. 5000, the prestigious annual list of America's fastest-growing private companies. The 2026 recognition marks the bank's THIRD consecutive appearance on the list and its highest ranking yet, climbing to No. 2,693 after ranking No. 3,835 in 2024 and No. 3,127 in 2025. The rankings are based on percentage revenue growth over the past three years (119%).
The recognition reflects Hyperion's continued commitment to disciplined, sustainable growth while remaining focused on relationship banking and local decision-making. This year's honor comes during a milestone year for the bank, following the successful completion of a capital raise to support continued organic growth and as Hyperion prepares to celebrate its 20th anniversary later this year.
Hyperion’s Charlie Crawford (Chair & CEO) and Lou DeCesare (President & COO) credit the dedication of Hyperion's employees and the trust of its customers, business partners, shareholders – and the communities it serves. “Together, we continue to demonstrate that a community bank can achieve exceptional growth while staying true to the values that set it apart,” Lou says. Customer Focus:
Shared values strengthen a growing partnership

When Dede Wakefield thinks about what separates Alogent from much larger competitors, the answer isn't technology alone.
“It’s about relationships,” says Wakefield, CEO of Alogent. “Customers want to know that, when they need help, someone will answer the phone.”
That philosophy has helped Alogent become a market leader in software that powers deposit automation, fraud mitigation and content and loan management for financial institutions across the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. While millions of consumers may never recognize the company’s name, many interact with its technology (for instance) every time they deposit a check using their mobile phone.
The same commitment to responsive, relationship-driven service is what led Wakefield and her team to build a lasting partnership with Hyperion Bank.
| | A relationship built on shared connections | | |
Wakefield first became acquainted with Hyperion’s Charlie Crawford through mutual connections, with the relationship growing stronger after reconnecting at a Titan 100 event at which they were both being recognized.
At the time, Alogent’s banking relationships were largely dictated by its ownership structure. But when its primary bank collapsed in 2023, Hyperion quickly stepped in to help Wakefield and Alogent establish an operating relationship during a critical moment.
“What started as a contingency we needed to put in place over a stressful 48-hour period became our primary operating relationship,” Wakefield says. “Even after everything stabilized (with the other bank), we continued banking with Hyperion because of the people and the service.”
For Wakefield, the experience reinforced the value of having a community-focused banking partner that combines sophisticated capabilities with personal accessibility.
“You've got all the capabilities you need, but you still have people you know and trust,” she says. “If there’s an issue, someone answers the phone. That matters.”

Wakefield sees clear similarities between Hyperion’s approach to banking and Alogent’s approach to serving its own customers.
Although Alogent competes against some of the largest technology providers in financial services, the company has built its reputation by delivering responsive support and cultivating long-term relationships rather than treating customers as account numbers.
“One of the reasons customers choose Alogent is because we care about them,” Wakefield says. “I experienced that same philosophy as soon as we started working with Hyperion.”
That shared mindset has created opportunities beyond traditional banking services. When Hyperion recently prepared to launch its enhanced digital banking platform, the bank invited Wakefield and members of the Alogent team to serve as a trusted sounding board, drawing on their decades of experience working with financial institutions across North America.
Rather than simply introducing new technology, Hyperion sought honest feedback on the customer experience before rollout – from an expert partner and customer.
“It felt personal,” Wakefield says. “They wanted input from people who understand financial technology and customer expectations. We were happy to contribute because we knew they genuinely wanted to deliver the best experience possible.”
For Hyperion, the collaboration provided valuable perspective from an experienced fintech leader. For Alogent, it reflected the type of relationship both organizations strive to build with their own customers.
As Hyperion approaches its 20th anniversary and Alogent celebrates a decade in its current form, both organizations continue to demonstrate that while technology evolves, exceptional customer service remains one of the strongest competitive advantages any company can offer.
