Last month Hyperion Bank was the featured Hometown Champion in the latest issue of the Pennsylvania Association of Community Bankers (PACB) Hometown Banker publication.
Among the questions Hyperion’s Lou DeCesare, Lee Green, Frank Sullivan and Lauren Flowers answered was a definition of “community bank.” In part, they said:

PHL bag ban
We have a re-usable solution!
|

Beginning in April the City of Philadelphia begins full enforcement of its plastic bag ban that began phased implementation last July.
Not to worry: Hyperion Bank has reusable totes that are complimentary for our customers. Feel free to stop into our banking office and ask for your bag. (Maybe when you are stopping into ACME Markets across the street from us.) And, Atlanta customers, don’t feel left out; our ATL location has the bags available for you.
Once you have your Hyperion reusable tote, send us a photo of it in use and we’ll include it in an Earth Day collage. In the meantime, see the FAQ about the bag ban.

Calendar item: King Day
We will be closed Monday, Jan. 17, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. We’ll re-open at 9a Tuesday. Whether it’s a day off or a “day on” – performing service to the community – remember you can bank online any time we are closed.

Happy Anniversary, Thomas
We recently celebrated Thomas Spitz’ 10th Anniversary with Hyperion Bank. Quite a milestone for a 15-year old bank. We also had a breakfast buffet this morning. Since Tommy joined Team Hyperion in 2011, his responsibilities have grown. He is primarily responsible for overseeing electronic banking products, including online banking and bill pay for personal & business banking customers, commercial remote deposit capture and more. An avid collector of coins (perfect for a banker, right?), he and his wife have a young son, Thomas, Jr. Happy Anniversary, Tommy!
