At its 47th Anniversary Celebration last week, the Education Law Center honored three incredible champions of education and social justice, including Hyperion Board Member Gretchen Santamour, who is a partner with Stradley Ronon.

In part, Gretchen was honored as she completed her term as ELC’s “extraordinary” board chair. Also honored was the law firm O’Melveny, which partnered with ELC on a fair-funding case, and the Youth Art & Self-empowerment Project, an ELC partner agency that supports young people navigating the legal system – while advocating for system-wide reforms.

Hyperion was a proud sponsor of this terrific event, which raised a record $450,000, exceeding ELC’s ($365k) goal. All proceeds support its key program areas: Fighting for fair funding, ensuring equal access & dismantling the school-to-prison pipeline. (ELC’s mission is to ensure all children in Pennsylvania have access to quality public education, with a focus on the state’s most underserved students.)
