OVERVIEW

Hyster Company is now expanding pre-orders for the new A Series models: H40-70A 4,000-7,000 lbs. capacity forklifts with LPG engines.

Featuring industrial Yanmar engines, world class ergonomics and the highly anticipated Dynamic Stability System (DSS^®), these models are based on the same platform as the H40-70A diesel models launched earlier this year. With this introduction, H40-60XT models have been immediately discontinued. Hyster Fortis^® H40-70FT models will continue to be offered until late 2022.

Dynamic Stability System (DSS^®)

Maintenance-free standard feature that provides assistance to the operator in reducing the likelihood of tip overs
Reinforces proper operating behavior through performance reductions and visual and audible alerts
Compatibility with optional Hyster Tracker™ to record and wirelessly transmit stability events to management

Ergonomics

Strategically located large step, 50% larger grab handle than the Fortis^® model, lowered seat and contoured hood provide easier entry and exit
Up to 25% more forward & backward seat adjustability than the leading competitor*
Increased floor space over previous model
Greater head and shoulder clearance than the leading competitor*
Wide range of optional suspension seats feature improved suspension mechanisms and flip-up armrests

Heavy-duty industrial engine

EPA certified Yanmar engine features gear-driven timing
Extended maintenance intervals, including up to 1,000 hours for LPG engine oil changes

Visibility

New mast design provides up to 30% more visibility than previous Fortis^® model
New mast channels provide a larger viewing window
Improved chain and hose routings and compact cross-head on full free lift masts reduce clutter in the window of visibility through the mast
A low dash and a wide mast improve fork tip visibility
Foot-activated park brake provides a clear view over the dash

Hydraulics

New, post-compensated valve improves controllability and response regardless of load weight
New, optional on-demand hydraulic pump improves fuel economy and reduces hydraulic heat

Field-proven design elements standard on all models

Electronic inching for enhanced controllability
Tapered roller bearings in the steer axle for long term reliability and low maintenance
Canted mast load rollers for mast rigidity and reduced wear to mast channels
O-ring face seal hydraulic connections to minimize potential for leaks

PRICING & ORDERING INFORMATION

Pre-order process

Pre-orders for H40-70A LPG models will secure production slots on a first come, first serve basis
Production slot assignments and order acknowledgement communication will not be processed until September-October 2022

SPED

SPED request for the new H40-70A models will be accepted starting September 1st
Orders for H40-70A models with SPED may have longer lead times than orders without SPED. Refer to SPED quote for lead time.
Some SPED configurations on H40-60XT and H40-70FT are now standard pricelist options; see Option Guide
Existing SPED options will remain available on H40-70FT models up until discontinuation of those models

Phase-out of legacy XT and FT models

The new Hyster H40-70A models will immediately replace H40-60XT and eventually H40-70FT models.
H40-70FT Fortis^® models will remain available for a period of time. Advanced notice will be provided prior to the discontinuation of H40-70FT models.
To minimize the potential negative impact of XT and FT parts obsolescence at the Berea manufacturing plant, HYG will not accept cancellations of existing Class 5 XT and FT orders in an effort to secure new A Series models.

Not all H40-70A options are available for ordering at this time
