With the recent introduction of the Hyster® A Series, H40-70A models in September of this year, Hyster Company is beginning the phase-out process of the legacy H40-70FT Fortis® models. Effective November 1, 2022, the Drum Brakes and Electronic Powershift Transmission standard options will no longer be available on H40-70FT models. These models will only be available with Wet Disc Brakes and Duramatch™ Transmission.
The Fortis® lineup launched in 2005 and has lived up to its reputation as a heavy-duty, reliable and high-performance lift truck for 17 years. The new H40-70A models replace H40-70FT, building upon the legacy of rugged dependability with improved ergonomics, visibility and the Dynamic Stability System (DSS).
H40-70FT models will be fully discontinued by early 2023. At that time, Wet Disc Brakes will become available on H40-70A models.
