Full Freeway Closures Complete;
Expect Lane Reductions at Night
Despite some equipment challenges, crews were able to complete the removal of the temporary bridge support system over the freeway and the southbound on ramp. However, work remains to complete efforts to the underside of the new structure, as well as the adjacent shoulder and ramp work. In order to perform this work, crews will be reducing the freeway down to one lane from 9pm - 5am, each night from Monday night to Friday morning. No detours are necessary as at least one lane will remain open at all times, however drivers should expect delays during this operation.

Barton Road will be open during this stage of work. Ramps will be closed as needed to move equipment and materials. Schedule is intermittent on the ramp closures. If you come upon a closed ramp, the next ramp along I-215 will be open. Be patient and add time to your commute.
La Crosse Work Progressing to Paving by End of Month
Crews have made significant progress to connecting La Crosse to the new elevation of Barton Road. The new base grade is being applied now in preparation for the new pavement scheduled for the end of the month. Paving will be followed by striping, signage, and other features in preparation for the re-opening of La Crosse by the start of the November.

Please note: La Crosse access will be restored in alignment with the on and off ramps on the other side Barton Road. However, when the roundabout is complete, La Crosse will be accessible just to the west of I-215. More information to come when that transition takes place.
