The 405 Express Lanes are almost here!


Crews will begin testing the 405 Express Lanes system as early as mid-October. Testing will require closures of the I-605 and SR-22 HOV connectors and may require intermittent lane closures on I-405.



The 405 Community Outreach Team will provide updates in future alerts.

The Springdale and Ward Street bridges are now open to traffic!

Both bridges have new sidewalks, bike, and vehicular lanes.

UPDATE! Northbound (NB) Euclid Street Closures Continue for Bridge Work

Northbound (NB) Euclid Street will close nightly between the southbound freeway ramps and Condor Avenue/Mt. Washington Street for seismic retrofit work on the existing columns for the I-405 bridge over the Santa Ana River and Euclid/Ellis Avenue.

 

The nightly NB Euclid closures are anticipated to continue as early as 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. TONIGHT, Sept. 22, to Tuesday, Sept. 26.

REMINDER! Westminster Boulevard Closures TONIGHT for Final Paving

405 Express Lanes
REMINDER! Crews are performing utility work and installing equipment for the new 405 Express Lanes. This work requires intermittent nighttime lane reductions on northbound and southbound I-405.

Ongoing lane reductions are anticipated as early as 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. on weeknights and weekends, as needed.

Please be advised that this work may be loud. The schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather or unforeseen operational issues.


Northbound & Southbound I-405
REMINDER! Crews are performing grinding work and barrier construction at night on northbound and southbound I-405.

Activities are ongoing intermittently, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. on weeknights and weekends as needed.

Please be advised that this work may be loud. The schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather or unforeseen operational issues.


Harbor Boulevard

UPDATE! Crews will conduct roadway work on Harbor Boulevard to prepare for final paving and striping.

Additionally, crews are placing irrigation in the center median on Harbor. This work requires nighttime lane reductions on northbound and southbound Harbor, at I-405.


The nightly lane reductions began are anticipated to continue as early as 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Saturday, Sept. 30.


REMINDER! Crews are performing nighttime work for the I-405 bridge over Harbor. This work must be done at night because it requires lane closures on I-405 and on Harbor. It also requires ramp closures.


Activities are ongoing 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. on weeknights and Saturdays as needed.


Please be advised that this work may be loud. The schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather or unforeseen operational issues.


Fairview Road

UPDATE! Crews will begin constructing the remainder of the block wall along northbound (NB) Fairview Road, at I-405. This work will require daytime lane reductions on NB Fairview between McCormack Lane to approximately the southbound I-405 on-ramp from Fairview.


The daytime lane reductions are anticipated to continue as early as 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Saturday, Oct. 7.


Crews may mobilize equipment as early as 6 a.m., and some activities may occur from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. as needed.


Please be advised that this work may be loud. The schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather or unforeseen operational issues.
