REMINDER! Southbound I-405 Closure TONIGHT for
I-405/SR-73 Express Lanes Connector Concrete Pour
|
|
Crews will pour concrete for the new I-405/SR-73 Express Lanes connector. This work will require two 12-hour southbound (SB) I-405 closures in Costa Mesa. The SB I-405/SR-73 on-ramp from Fairview Road will also be closed.
NB I-405, the existing SR-73 connector, and Fairview Road bridge will remain open.
The closures are anticipated 9 p.m. TONIGHT, Aug. 19, to 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, and again 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26, to 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27.
The SB I-405/SR-73 on-ramp from Fairview may open sooner than 9 a.m.
Crews will conduct another concrete pour in mid-September. This work will also require closures. The 405 Community Outreach Team will provide updates in future alerts.

REMINDER! Westminster Boulevard Bridge Closure
|
|
Crews will close the Westminster bridge, between Willow Lane and Springdale Street, to restripe lanes in preparation to open the new portion of the bridge.
The closure is anticipated between 9 p.m. Monday, Aug. 22, to 5 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23.

REMINDER! New Portion of Westminster Boulevard Bridge to Open
|
|
Crews began the second phase of construction of the Westminster bridge in 2021. When the new portion of the bridge opens this summer, it will have new vehicle lanes and sidewalks. Additionally, crews are constructing new traffic signals for the Westminster/Springdale Street and the Westminster/Willow Lane intersections.
The I-405 Improvement Project is excited to deliver an improved bridge to your community!
Please note that the northbound I-405 off-ramp to Willow will be permanently closed later this month as part of the project improvements, and crews will continue constructing traffic signals, striping new bike lanes and conducting drainage work in the coming months.

Crews will close the NB I-405 loop on-ramp from Harbor Boulevard for approximately one month as part of project improvements.
The ramp closure is anticipated to start as early as 10 p.m. Monday, Aug. 29.

Crews will close the SB I-405 off-ramp to Seal Beach Boulevard for approximately one month as part of project improvements.
The ramp closure is anticipated for late summer 2022.

REMINDER! Southbound (SB) I-405 Warner Avenue On- and Off-Ramps Closed for Approximately Six Weeks
|
Crews closed the SB I-405 straight on-ramp from Warner and the SB I-405 loop off-ramp to Warner as part of project improvements.
The ramps closed Thursday, July 14, and are anticipated to open in late August 2022.

REMINDER! Southbound (SB) I-405/Eastbound (EB) SR-22 Connector Extended Lane Reduction
|
Crews reduced the SB I-405/EB SR-22 connector to two lanes for pavement activity.
The lane reductions began Friday, June 10, and will be in place through August 2022.

REMINDER! Crews are relocating several utilities to continue widening the drainage channel adjacent to homes in the College Park West community.
Utility line relocation is ongoing, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays.
Block wall installation is anticipated to begin in fall 2022.
Crews may access the work zone, intermittently along College Park Drive and from the WB SR-22 connector, to mobilize equipment as early as 6 a.m., and some activities may occur at night from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. as needed.

REMINDER! Crews closed North Gate Road to conduct sewer work.
Vehicles, bicyclists and pedestrians will be detoured to Golden Rain Road to enter and exit Leisure World.
The closure began Tuesday, July 5, and is anticipated to open after approximately three months.
Sewer work is anticipated 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays, for approximately three months. Crews may mobilize equipment as early as 6 a.m., and some activities may occur from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. as needed.
Block wall installation for the sound walls is anticipated to begin fall 2022.

REMINDER! Crews will continue constructing the new traffic signal at the Westminster Boulevard/Springdale Street intersection as part of the bridges' reconstruction.
Activities include permanent pole foundation work, as well as electrical work. After the temporary signal is complete, crews will begin construction of the permanent traffic signal.
Construction of the permanent signal is ongoing, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays and Saturdays, through August 2022.
This work will also include intermittent nighttime lane reductions on Springdale and Westminster.
Crews may mobilize equipment as early as 6 a.m., and some activities may occur from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. as needed.

REMINDER! The city of Fountain Valley is performing sewer replacement work along Magnolia Street at Warner Avenue, which requires lane reductions. The sewer project is anticipated to be complete in early September.
