Continuous Closure on Yadkin Road at the I-64 Overpass, April 8-15
Motorists should be prepared for a continuous closure of Yadkin Road with a detour in place beginning as early as Saturday, April 8, at 7 a.m. through Saturday, April 15, at 5 a.m. Yadkin Road will be fully closed to through traffic at the I-64 overpass. Local traffic will be permitted from George Washington Highway for access to businesses on Yadkin Road.
This continuous closure will allow construction crews to safely install barrier walls as part of the I-64 Southside Widening and High Rise Bridge Expansion Project.
Motorists should utilize Galberry Road, Military Highway and George Washington Highway to navigate around the road closure. Detour information will also be designated with signage along the roadway.
