I-64 Southside Widening and High Rise Bridge Expansion Project

Upcoming Ramp Closure for I-64 East Exit 296A

The I-64 East off-ramp (exit 296A) will be closed from Monday, Nov. 16 at 9 p.m. until Tuesday, Nov. 17 at 5 a.m. Motorists traveling on I-64 East toward Suffolk should follow detour signs utilizing Exit 297 and Military Highway to access Route 17 George Washington Highway.

All project work and scheduled closures are dependent upon weather conditions.

Motorists are reminded to obey the reduced 55 MPH speed limits and be mindful of crews working on the interstate.
