Lane Closures

Alternating single-lane closures on I-64 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. at the following locations:

  • I-64 west from Great Bridge Boulevard to I-464 April 29 to May 2
  • I-64 east from Shell Road to High Rise Bridge May 1-5

Overnight closure and detour of the I-64 east off-ramp to Military Highway south (exit 297)

  • April 28 to May 1 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. 
  • May 3 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. 


Motorists should follow the detour below:

Overnight closure and detour of the I-64 west off-ramp to Great Bridge Boulevard (exit 292)

  • April 29 from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.
  • May 1-2 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.


Motorists should follow the detour below:

Overnight closure and detour of the I-64 west off-ramp to Route 168/Chesapeake Expressway south (exit 291B)

  • April 29 from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.
  • May 1-2 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.


Motorists should follow the detour below:

Overnight closure and detour of I-64 west off-ramp to Military Highway (exit 297) May 1-3 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.


Motorists should follow the detour below: 

Overnight closure and detour of the on-ramp to I-64 west from George Washington Highway south

  • May 1-3 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • May 4-5 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. 


Motorists should follow the detour below:

Overnight closure and detour of the on-ramp to I-64 west from George Washington Highway north May 3-4 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.



During this closure, motorists should utilize the cloverleaf detour below:

Overnight closure and detour of I-64 west off-ramp to George Washington Highway north (exit 296A) May 3-4 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. 


Motorists should follow the detour below:

Overnight closure and detour of the on-ramp to I-64 east from Military Highway May 3 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.


Motorists should follow the detour below:
