Upcoming Lane Closures
Overnight Closure of Great Bridge Boulevard at the I-64 Overpass, tonight, Wednesday, Feb. 2, from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Great Bridge Boulevard between Tennyson Street and the I-64 off-ramp will be closed to all traffic tonight, Wednesday, Feb. 2, from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Motorists should follow the detour below. Detour information will also be designated with signage along the roadway.

GREAT BRIDGE BOULEVARD DETOUR

Traveling South on Great Bridge Boulevard
  • Right on Booker Street
  • Left on Bainbridge Boulevard
  • Left on Dominion Boulevard
  • End detour and turn left/right on Great Bridge Boulevard

Traveling North on Great Bridge Boulevard
  • Left on Dominion Boulevard
  • Right on Bainbridge Boulevard
  • End detour and turn left/right on Great Bridge Boulevard
Continuous Detour on Yadkin Road at the I-64 Overpass on Thursday, Feb. 3, and Friday, Feb. 4, 5 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Motorists should be prepared for a continuous detour of Yadkin Road on Thursday, Feb. 3 and Friday, Feb. 4, from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Yadkin Road will be fully closed at the I-64 overpass. Local traffic will be permitted to access businesses on Yadkin Road from George Washington Highway. 

Motorists should utilize Galberry Road, Military Highway and George Washington Highway to navigate around the road closure. Detour information will also be designated with signage along the roadway. 

All construction schedules are pending, due to weather or unforeseen circumstances. Changes to the schedule will be updated on the project website traffic alerts page.
Other Construction Impacts

  • Alternating, single-lane closures on I-64 west between I-664 north/Route 13/Route 58 (exit 299) and Shell Road (overpass), Jan. 31 to Feb. 6, from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.

  • Single-lane closure on I-64 west at the High Rise Bridge on Jan. 31 to Feb. 4, from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
