Continuous Detour on Yadkin Road at the I-64 Overpass, August 23-31
Motorists should be prepared for a continuous detour of Yadkin Road. Beginning as early as Monday, Aug. 23, at 9 p.m. through Tuesday, Aug. 31, at 5 a.m., Yadkin Road will be fully closed at the I-64 overpass. Local traffic will permitted to access to businesses on Yadkin Road from George Washington Highway.
This continuous closure will allow construction crews to safely and efficiently set girders for the I-64 widening over Yadkin Road.
Motorists should utilize Galberry Road, Military Highway and George Washington Highway to navigate around the road closure. Detour information will also be designated with signage along the roadway.
