Transportation is an essential service during this pandemic. It is critical that we have a reliable highway network to keep goods and services moving. Connecting you with healthcare providers, and making sure your grocery stores can restock daily, are some of our state’s highest priorities.

At this time, construction is continuing. I-84 is an important corridor and we are committed to delivering these essential services. All lanes of I-84 are open during the day. No road closures on I-84 are currently planned. We will continue to monitor the situation and make changes as needed.

The COVID-19 pandemic has created a dynamic, ever-evolving situation for all of us . We will continue to monitor and make changes to ensure we can safely conduct our essential work. Even now, we are committed to our Mission: “Your Safety. Your Mobility. Your Economic Opportunity.”

Thank you. Stay healthy, stay well, and wash your hands!
Extended single-lane closures

As a result of the statewide stay-home order, ITD will extend  single-lane closures on I-84  during the weekdays for construction.

Decreased traffic volumes provide crews with additional opportunities to work in the corridor.

What to expect:

  • Eastbound I-84 single-lane closures: Mon. - Fri., 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.

  • Westbound I-84 single-lane closures: Mon. - Fri., 8 p.m.to 7 a.m.

  • One travel lane in each direction will remain open 24/7.
