I-84 Construction Update See the latest on projects throughout the corridor below.

The Northside Boulevard Interchange is reaching it's final stages of construction. Northside Boulevard interchange will be transformed into a new single-point urban interchange. WHAT'S AHEAD: On Sunday, March 28 the Northside eastbound on-ramp will close at 10 p.m. for approximately 3 hours while crews install concrete barriers. Motorists wishing to enter I-84 will be directed to Franklin Blvd. 14-day ramp closures at Northside interchange are planned for mid-April to allow crews to place the final paving. The Middleton Overpass has been under construction since it's demolition in August 2020. Crews are on schedule to re-open the overpass in early May. Watch the latest time lapse video to see the transformation! Once Middleton Overpass has re-opened, the Ustick Road Overpass will begin construction.

Construction is happening now on I-84 between Caldwell and Nampa. Motorists can anticipate nightly lane closures as crews construct temporary travel lanes on the outside shoulders of I-84 between Franklin Road (exit 29) and Karcher Road (exit 33). This is the first phase of widening I-84 between Caldwell and Nampa. Once completed, ITD will use the newly constructed shoulders to keep two lanes of traffic flowing in either direction as the next phase of construction begins in Summer 2021.
