I-84 Corridor Update

Construction is well underway on I-84 in Canyon County. Here's what's new this fall: Karcher Overpass is in its final stages of construction. Contractors need to:  Finish placing sidewalk along Karcher Road. Pave Karcher Road on both sides of the concrete bridge. Install fencing along the overpass bridge. Karcher Overpass is expected to open in October. Temporary railing will be placed along the bridge until permanent railing is installed later this year.

I-84 widening from Karcher to Franklin is underway. Crews are: Continuing to work in the median. Installing 25,700 feet of pipe. Beginning to build the bridge at Northside Interchange. You can watch the progress here through monthly time lapse videos.

Franklin Road (Caldwell) to Karcher Interchange (Nampa) : For the month of October, overnight lane restrictions will occur between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. Crews are surveying the area and testing the soil. This work is one of the initial steps in designing the I-84 improvements between Caldwell and Nampa.
