I-84 Overnight Closures Ahead! (September 24 and 25)

The Idaho Transportation Department will close sections of I-84 in Caldwell this week to install overhead signs. These closures will occur overnight on Tuesday, September 24 and Wednesday, September 25, from midnight to 5 a.m. each night.


WHAT TO EXPECT:

Wednesday night, September 24:

  • All westbound lanes of I-84 will close between the 10th Avenue and Franklin Road interchanges.
  • Motorists will detour using the Franklin Road westbound off-ramp (exit 29), Blaine Street and the 10th Avenue westbound on-ramp to re-enter I-84.

Thursday night, September 25:

  • All westbound lanes of I-84 will close between the Centennial Way and 10th Avenue interchanges.
  • Motorists will detour using the 10th Avenue westbound off-ramp (exit 28), Illinois Avenue, and the Centennial Way westbound on-ramp to re-enter I-84.

Throughout the week:

  • Eastbound I-84 will have lane restrictions between 10th Avenue and Franklin Road each night from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. while crews paint the pedestrian bridge over the interstate.

Plan ahead, slow down, and pay attention!
