Nighttime I-84 closures ahead (March 7-11)

Closures will occur starting this weekend while crews shift traffic on I-84 underneath the Karcher Interchange. These closures will allow crews to create a safe work zone to add the new pier.

Here's what you can expect:

• Single lane closures on I-84 Fri., March 7 (10 p.m. - 5 a.m.)
• Full westbound I-84 closure Sun., March 9 (9 p.m. - 5 a.m.)

• Full eastbound I-84 closure Mon., March 10 (9 p.m. - 5 a.m.)

• Single lane closures on I-84 Tue., March 11 (10 p.m. - 5 a.m.)

This work is weather dependent and the schedule may change.

10th Avenue will close Saturday, March 8

On Saturday, March 8, 10th Avenue will close under I-84 so crews can safely place girders for the new interchange bridge.

Each girder is 140 feet long and will help support the bridge deck.

Here's what you can expect:

• 10th Avenue will close all day on Saturday, March 8 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Traffic will detour to Centennial Way. Click here to view a detour map.
• Shuttle buses will be available to transport pedestrians and bicyclists on each side of the interchange. Click here to view a map of pick-up and drop-off locations.
