Closures on SH-41 and Mullan Avenue begin next week for paving

Starting Monday, March 23, Mullan Avenue east of the SH-41/Mullan intersection will be closed 24/7 for two weeks.

This closure will allow crews to start final paving preparations on Mullan Avenue and SH-41 between the I-90/SH-41 SPUI and 12th Avenue.

Paving is an important next step in completing the I-90/SH-41 SPUI.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Monday, March 23 - Friday, April 3:

  • Crews will pave Mullan Avenue east of the SH-41/Mullan intersection.
  • Motorists will be detoured to October Glory Street.
  • Business access will remain open from SH-41.

The permanent concrete median barrier is currently being installed on SH-41.

Previous solid double yellow pavement markings prohibited left turns through the area. This new curbing will now physically prevent left turns into and out of businesses along the corridor between the SPUI and 12th Avenue.

UPCOMING WORK:

Monday, April 6- Wednesday April 8:

  • The I-90 westbound on-ramp will be closed each night from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • Traffic will be detoured to Spokane Street Interchange.

 All work is weather dependent.
