I AM... GRATEFUL!! (and COLD!)
A Note From Pastor Linda
Dear Friends,
Thank you for the many ways that you have surrounded me in prayer...
An update:
The spinal fusion and decompression were a GREAT success. I immediately found relief in my hips and legs- yeah! I occasionally get some "shadow" pain but have learned that is to be expected. The actual fusion seems to be healing well, however I find that I tire easily and need to remember to sit and rest. (I am CONTENT- oneword) I typically take a nap- every day! Yes, healing takes energy and I must listen to my body. Basic rule is NO BLT- bending, lifting, twisting. I take daily walks around the house- too cold and slippery to be outside. When I get the opportunity for a field trip, I walk up and down every aisle at the store or every corridor at the mall. Who knew you could buy so much stuff that you don't need- but that's for another update.
I am grateful for my church- and the staff that serves and steps in and steps up when one is missing. I am grateful for Pastor Jan and her availability to step back into the life of Hosanna. I look forward to continued partnership with her as she offers "faith and learning" trips to places around the world- including Hosanna in her invitations.
While I am doing some planning and working from home- it is always interrupted by the need to step away. I find it difficult to be in one position for too long a period. And then there is that nap... ;-)! I hope to return as a worshipper this weekend. I look forward to returning to "real work"- but I am planning on easing into the hours I spend at Hosanna, being mindful of my continued healing while balancing that with the need for physical therapy.   I need to get back behind the wheel too- once I am able to balance pain meds and feel confident at turning without twisting.
Mostly, I AM CONTENT- really, I am!! I am because of you- and the many ways that you have reached out and up on my behalf. Once again- I am grateful- for YOU!
One last shout out: THANK YOU MARK FRIESEN- for just being there along the way. Even when I said- oh no, I don't need you to be there... you were and are there. THANK YOU!
 ~Pastor Linda
Reminder- that all regular programming from Tuesday, January 29 through Thursday, January 31 is CANCELLED due to EXTREME COLD.

The 100 Envelope Challenge for the Lakes Area MobilePack!
Due February 3

A Couple of rules:
- Each envelope contains a note with a monetary amount between $1 and $100. If your number seems unobtainable, reach out to a friend or two or three to join you!
- You must place at minimum, the amount in your envelope and have it back to Hosanna by February 3, 2019. Checks can be made out to Hosanna with "2019 FMSC" in the memo line.
- This dollar amount does NOT interrupt or replace your regular giving to Hosanna. We NEED your regular gifts to fulfill our mission to LIVE, LOVE & SERVE - offering up our mission post to be a MobilePack site at no cost to the community for example.

If all 100 envelopes are returned to Hosanna, this has the potential to raise $5050 (or MORE!) - which means 23,000 MEALS!!!

If you are interested in this challenge, please pick up an envelope on Wednesdays or Sundays or by contacting Kelsey Grachek.
