Close out summer with a Movie on the Shore
Free event at Pavilion Shore Park takes place on Tuesday, Aug. 20 at 6pm
The start of school is right around the corner so Novi Parks figured they would help you close out summer with a bang.

Join us at 6pm on Tuesday, August 20 at Pavilion Shore Park for the free Movie on the Shore event. The evening includes face painting, bounce house, giveaways and more. Food will be available for purchase.

The band, Momford and Sons, will start at 6:15pm, followed by the movie How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World at 7:45pm.
Spend a day in Novi at the Michigan State Fair
Fair runs from Aug. 29-Sept. 2; fireworks, 5K among new attractions
The Michigan State Fair returns to Novi over Labor Day weekend, packed with its traditional fair offerings along with new attractions the entire family will enjoy.

The fair kicks off Thursday, Aug. 29 with Mega Jam followed by a fireworks show at 9pm. Throughout the weekend be sure to check out the Giant Pumpkins, the State Fair Superstar, the Midway, the Shrine Circus and so much more!

Security in Houses of Worship seminar on Sept. 7
Free program for worship leaders, staff & their security ministry volunteers
The Novi Police Department is once again hosting a Security in Houses of Worship seminar for faith-based organizations in the area.

The free seminar takes place from 9am-1:15pm on Saturday, Sept. 7 at Brightmoor Christian Church. It will cover best practices, option-based response to active violence and more through a variety of focus sessions.
