Novi honors best of the best from police and fire
Award ceremony highlighted top officer, firefighter, volunteer & civilian
It was a night of celebration for Novi police officers and firefighters at the annual Awards Ceremony last Thursday.

Several officers, firefighters, paramedics, EMTs, doctors and civilians were recognized for their actions in the past year, including four whose year-long service earned them top honors.

  • Lee C. BeGole Police Officer of the Year - Mike Daisley
  • Firefighter of the Year - Captain Mark Theisen
  • Civilian Employee of the Year - Lead Mechanic Steve Tallman
  • Volunteer of the Year - Richard Antuna

Come to Fire Station #4 for a free car seat check
No appointment necessary, checks offered from 9-noon, Sat. March 16
Make sure your child is riding properly in their car seat by having it checked for free by a certified Novi Firefighter.

Stop by Novi Fire Station #4 (49375 10 Mile) on Saturday, March 16, from 9-noon and have your seat installed/checked within 25 minutes or less. Be sure to bring your vehicles owner's manual, car seat owner's manual, and, if possible, the child who is riding in the seat.

Learn about the numerous Major Road projects scheduled for 2019 at the Better Roads Ahead Informational Meeting from 7-8pm on March 27 at the Novi Civic Center.
