I Am The Lord That Healeth Thee! 7/15/15

26 And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.

WE serve an absolutely AMAZING God- a God who CAN and DOES speak to US!!
I say this with fresh memory of an encounter just this morning with "The Holy One of Israel!"
For those of you who have not seen me in a while, I am almost 1/6 of the man I was a few mere months ago-I have "lost" 37 lbs!!!
I achieved the feat at the excellent doctoring and urging of my personal physician, who has also lost 33 lbs in an even shorter time.
I had an appointment last week with him and together we rejoiced in this mutual success.
I had blood drawn at that visit and returned last Tuesday "EXPECTING" to leave there shouting HALLELUJAH!
BUT the results were not what he or myself "EXPECTED."
Some areas in my physical health had improved but other tests revealed other serious needs that demanded our attention.
I left his office slightly dejected as, like Naaman the leper, "I THOUGHT.........."

11 But Naaman was wroth, and went away, and said, Behold, I thought, He will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of the LORD his God, and strike his hand over the place, and recover the leper.
Have YOU ever, "I THOUGHT......"
"I THOUGHT" God was gonna' do it this way!!""
"I THOUGHT" God was gonna' "fix this situation and/or solve my dilemma!!??
"I THOUGHT" if I done everything God's Way..................!!""
"I THOUGHT" if I paid my tithes.....!!??
"I THOUGHT" if I PRAYED or went back to Church everything would get quickly/INSTANTANEOUSLY better!!??
Have YOU ever been in trouble and made impossible PROMISES of what YOU would do only IF God...................................!!??
Well, join my club please.
I had changed my entire diet, had spurned and and all restaurants and all eating out, increased my exercise and tried to eat fresh, wholesome and healthy foods-
for MONTHS on end!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I KNOW you are feeling me-POOR PASTOR DOUG.
GUESS I'LL GO EAT WORMS!!??
I went to bed last night and slept fitfully.
I knew I could not quit or give up, but the realization that no matter what I or WE do, ALL PEOPLE DIE!!!
As my dear brother keeps chiding me on my health efforts, "So, Pastor Doug, YOU are gonna be that ONE who endsup dying of NOTHING, huh???
Finally, I did get to sleep around midnight and in spite of little Amanda, got a few hours of sleep.
God OFTEN speaks to me in song and this morning came God's rebuke/ANSWER.
It came in the form of the Scripture and song posted above.
The Scripture and song simply declare:
"I AM THE LORD THAT HEALETH THEE!!''
PURE AND SIMPLE!
My wonderful Doc had also declared that to me as I left his office, attempting to encourage me.
I LOVE all my doctors and they all do the very best they can!!
But they ALL realize and fully understand that ultimately, GOD IS THE HEALER!!!
I speak this to any and all who have had or will have negative test results on their health.
God and God alone determines how long and how well each of us will live!!
No one has an expiration date stamped on their bodies!!!!
God CAN, DOES, and WILL heal any one of anything He pleases-ANYTHING!!!
I need to, I MUST remind myself and any reading this what the late Linda LaFever said to me when, not one, but two doctors pronounced little Amanda DEAD!
She called me as my son Joshua and I were planning out Amanda's funeral and SIMPLY said:
"Pastor Doug, aren't you glad that the just shall live by FAITH and NOT by FACT!!!!!"

38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
Jesus said:

4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
TODAY, if you receive a "discouraging word or report" understand WE do not live by man's pronunciation or words,
"BUT BY EVERY WORD THAT PROCEEDETH OUT OF THE MOUTH OF GOD!"
No matter how bleak or discouraging it seems, "KEEP ON KEEPING ON!"
"IF GOD BROUGHT YOU TO IT, HE WILL SEE YOU THROUGH IT!"
AMEN AND AMEN!
