I Can,t, BUT.......................... 2/28/24
John 3:30 (KJV)
30 He must increase, but I must decrease.
These are the Words of the mighty Prophet, John The Baptist, spoken in the waning days of his ministry.
A MYSTERY was solved earlier today as a dear friend In Iowa called with a PRAISE REPORT and in the midst of our conversation she COFESSED that SHE was the culprit.
It was HER that had mailed my a simple ball-cap I had wanted to purchase but I was too cheap to pay the shipping cost!!!!!!!!!
The beloved ball-cap I received states:
“I CAN'T, BUT I KNOW A GUY!”
At the ripe OLD age of 72, I can fervently AGREE with this lifetime EARNED understanding-in fact, I immortalized these same words in my 2024 NEW YEAR PRAYER:
“Father, the longer I live the more I realize THIS!!!
ONLY GOD CAN “FIX”.................................................................”
Beloved, there are innumerable instances in THIS life that are not easily or readily SOLVABLE-in other words, YOU and I CANNOT FIX/SOLVE!!
It is in these circumstances WE have to do that TERRIBLE Word:
Psalm 27:13-14 (KJV)
13 I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.
14 Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.
Psalm 130:5 (KJV)
5 I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.
Psalm 37:7 (KJV)
7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
I shared a short video posted on FB last week in which a lady had ordered her favorite meal at a local restaurant. She was informed that it would take several minutes extra to prepare and suggested to her that perhaps she should order something else.
She noted that several other patrons had also ordered the same but had decided not to WAIT, but she wanted what she wanted and opted to WAIT.
Finally, her order was completed and the manager personally delivered her order with added extras-her “WAIT on the Lord” was rewarded handsomely!!!
Just as in the case of my beloved ball cap, WE never know what God has in store for us!!
1 Corinthians 2:9 (KJV)
9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
If YOU find YOURSELF in similar territory today-where YOU do not PRECISELY KNOW WITHOUT ANY DOUBT-where to go and what to do, may I gently suggest to you:
Psalm 27:14 (KJV)
14 Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.
My DAILY PRAYER is:
Psalm 119:133 (KJV)
133 Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.
WE may THINK that this or that way is the correct one, but, THANK GOD, if we are willing and OBEDIENT:
Isaiah 1:19 (KJV)
19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
REMEBER:
Proverbs 16:9 (KJV)
9 A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.
GOD BLESS YOU TODAY!!!
