I Can't Believe It's Not Butter as a Gun Lube?

I often make wisecracks against the gun oil market. With all the competition for those juicy astronomical profit margins selling oil for a per gallon equivalent price to 1811 Chateau d'Yquem, gun lube producers have resorted to all manner of crazy gimmicks. Lime green, orange, passion fruit-flavored — you name it.

The problem is it takes some serious time and energy to figure out if a gun lube is really as good as it's cracked up to be. Most of us slather some on, head to the range, come home, clean, and slather on some more. Under those conditions, a gun will run on most anything.

In a fit of the absurd, I joked most people's guns would run just fine on I Can't Believe It's Not Butter. Hey, Fabio recommends it, so it must be good.
