Hola!

August was one of those months that brought a little bit of everything: travel, work, new experiences, new people—and a few unexpected discoveries along the way.

Some were professional. Some were purely for fun.

And one of them... I'm still not sure I'm ready to tell you about publicly. 😂

What Happens in Vegas...

I went to a one-of-a-kind event in Las Vegas that was unlike anything I'd experienced before. What kind of event?

Well... I'm not quite confident enough to share the details here because you might think I'm crazy! But now that I've made you curious, reply to this email and I'll send you the link.

We turned the trip into a little getaway and also visited ARTE MUSEUM LAS VEGAS, an immersive digital art experience filled with light, color and movement.

Having experienced teamLab in Tokyo, I'll admit the bar was set very high! It wasn't quite Tokyo for me, but it was still beautiful, creative and definitely entertaining.

Thank you for reading!

A little Vegas, a little art... and one experience I'm not quite ready to explain publicly. 😉

When in Vegas... Find a Microphone!

Of course, I couldn't be in Las Vegas without visiting my friends at Adrenaline Studios.

A special shout-out to Rolland, who kindly jumped in and directed me through a couple of auditions while I was there. One of the things I appreciate most about this business is working with talented people who understand that sometimes a great performance comes from the collaboration happening on both sides of the glass.

Thank you, Rolland!

You Can Still Surprise Yourself

August apparently became my month of discovering worlds I knew almost nothing about. First, I learned to play Rummikub for the very first time—and I loved it! Strategy, numbers, a little competition... and definitely a workout for the brain. I may have found a new obsession!

Then we welcomed one of my son's best friends into our home for a few days. He travels around the country—and beyond—to compete in card game tournaments and this time the venue was close to Orlando, Fl.

I had no idea how big this world was... or how valuable some of those winning cards could be! Let's just say I'll never look at a little piece of cardboard quite the same way again.

It was a fun reminder that there are entire worlds around us that we know absolutely nothing about—until someone invites us in.

In picture below, working out my brain, while learning to play Rummikub

Hot Seats, Headshots & New Connections

Another highlight was attending Hot Seats & Headshots, organized by AMA (American Marketing Association) It was a wonderful opportunity to listen, learn, exchange ideas and meet more of the talented marketing and creative professionals here in Tampa Bay. And there was an added bonus...A brand-new headshot!

✨ Looking Ahead...

September is already shaping up to be a very special month.Among a few upcoming adventures, I'm especially looking forward to welcoming a Buddhist Lama into our little corner of the world and spending some time together.

Something tells me I'll have an interesting story to share in my next newsletter. 😊

August reminded me that staying curious keeps life interesting.

Whether it's stepping into a recording booth in another city, discovering a new game, meeting someone new, experiencing art in a different way—or attending an event that I'm apparently still embarrassed to tell you all about... 😂

There's always something new to discover.

Thank you, as always, for reading, watching and being part of my journey.

And if you're still wondering about that mysterious Las Vegas event...

Hit Reply.

I might tell you. 😉

Sincerely,

Nydia
