Problem Solved Pest Control

It's Time to Treat for Grubs!

If you have St. Augustine grass, we highly recommend getting a grub preventative treatment between the Summer months of June and July as this is when grubs are in their larva stage.

Treating now will get rid of them before they can mature, and insure that you have a grub free lawn!

That also means that we are beginning our grub preventative treatments for our customers that have signed up for it!

Keep an eye on your invoices as this treatment will occur over the next 6 to 8 weeks at the same time as your regular scheduled lawn service.

If you are not yet signed up for this treatment and would like to add it to your lawn service, please contact our office and we will be happy to get you set up.

Watering instructions at this time will also change a little bit, as we recommend watering within 24 hours of treatment as opposed to our normal 48 hour window.

This time of year is normally the beginning of our rainy season; however, we have been receiving a lot less rain than expected.

As a result, we do recommend keeping your watering frequency to twice a week, and to try to aim for about one inch of water per zone in order to help your lawn remain healthy.

Have you been noticing some dry or brown spots in your lawn recently?

It's very possible this could be drought damage; but, we have been noticing an increase in chinch bug activity, mostly among our newer accounts since they love sunny, dry and hot areas, and we are not getting as much rain as we should.

Even with our regular lawn treatments, chinch bugs LOVE to invade drought areas, so keeping up with watering can help prevent these pests from appearing in your lawn.

Our technicians have also been keeping an eye out and treating for chinch bugs as they encounter them.
