8th Grade Field Trip to Mason Industries
Greetings!

Our eighth-grade class was treated to a very special day on Tuesday, 9 May. Board member Doug Valerio arranged for them to visit his place of business, Mason Industries in Hauppauge. Mason Industries are specialists in Building Isolation, Architectural Engineering, Seismic Engineering along with HVAC Engineering.  A bus picked the students up from the school parking lot at 10:00 AM and returned to the school around 3:00 PM. Mr. Valerio oversaw the arrangements and he took the time out of his busy day to personally escort the students on a great tour of the facility as well as to speak to them about engineering programs and opportunities in the engineering field. Mr. Valerio invited his colleague, Mr. Jim Sadler and his son Mr. Andrew Valerio to speak with the students about their experiences in the industry and the education and work that it takes to be successful engineers.  The day included a delicious lunch and each of the students received a great gift basket before returning to school. Thank you, Mr. Valerio, and all those at Mason Industries who made this day possible for our students.

The De La Salle School will honor the Fishlinger Family at the school’s twenty-first annual Spring Gala on Friday, 2 June 2023. The Fishlinger family have been dedicated supporters of our mission for the last decade and have become ardent advocates for our students and our alumni. They are very passionate about the work of the Graduate Support Program and are eager to see it succeed. Please join us to help celebrate the Fishlinger Family at the twenty-first annual gala that will take place at The Crest Hollow Country Club, Woodbury NY.  It begins at 7:00 PM and concludes at 11:00 PM. Proceeds benefit the school’s Scholarship Fund. For further information please contact our Development Director, Mr. Don Holden at 516- 379-8660 or via the school website, www.delasalleschool.org.
