I Had A Baby!
Just the Beginning!
Whew! I've heard all the stories about having a baby, but I had no idea until I went through it myself. The labor pains and the crying out is more than I thought I could bear. One minute you're laughing and the next minute you're in excruciating pain as they keep saying push Jacqui push. All you want to say is I'm not pushing anymore!
You know you are at a point of no return. It doesn't matter how much you want the labor to stop, it will not. Don't be weary from false labor pains. Then the pains shift and they are coming back-to-back. You know this is it. All you want is for the pain to stop. You hear the cries, "Push Jacqui push!" Those words propelled me beyond the pain.
Suddenly the baby is born. The pain stops. I'm so excited! I wait to hear with bated breath. Is it a boy...a girl?
No! It's a manuscript! I gave birth to my book! Wow! It is finished! Hallelujah!
At 6:07 p.m., Saturday, July 7, 2012, I gave birth. Just like any proud Mom, I will always remember the exact time and date. The feeling was just as exhilarating.
It was a long laborious and arduous birth. The gestation period exceeded the conventional nine months pregnancy extending into years. Yet at that moment, you know this is only the beginning. I savor the moment because, in the words of a close friend, the real work truly begins.
The maturation process is critical and requires even more focus, discipline and love. It has to be dressed up (published) in preparation to be showcased (book launch) and to go visit others (book engagements). I need others to help in the maturation process and I have to make sure that the right professionals and experts are selected because I can't just put my baby in the hands of anyone. It truly does take a village to raise a child! I need the same support and encouragement from family and friends.
Yes, I did give birth! I'm excited! I definitely want you to be one of the first to hold it in your hands. That is definitely possible. Just visit our website and find out how that can happen.
For all of you, who have been in the gestation process of birthing what God has placed inside of you, please don't give up. Keep pushing, even when you don't feel like it. Surround yourself with a team of people to encourage you through the pain because sometimes it appears as though they are unbearable. Set aside time so you can be focused solely on finishing. Be patient in the process and learn to count it all joy.
In teaming up with God, do it His way and in His timing. Don't allow anyone or anything to cause you to miscarry or abort. Know that it will come forth at the right time, the right way and the right place. All I can say to you, "Push baby push!"
