JRB FINANCIAL PULSE

March 2025 — Issue #84

A Word from the CEO

The last few weeks have been difficult for investors. The threat of tariffs, chaos in federal government funding and staffing, inflation fears and uncertainty about tax policy have created confusion and roiled investment markets.

What's a long-term retirement investor to do? I turn to that well known investment guru — the cartoon character Bart Simpson. I'm not kidding. His approach, "I have lost nothing in the stock market because I am not selling today," makes a lot of sense. Take a look at our article for more on what this investment philosophy means for you.

JEA Executive Director Rabbi Robin Foonberg is the latest to discuss her experience as an educator, retirement investor and JRB participant. She reflects on the special challenges educators face in saving for retirement — and the huge benefits accruing to those who build financial security through the JRB. Take a look at her video.

Finally, Doug Spangler and I will be in Los Angeles, California April 1-3 to meet with participants. This is a great opportunity to review your financial well-being.

If you have questions about whether your account is built to withstand market volatility or you want to schedule a time to meet Doug and me in California, please contact us via email or call us at 888-JRB-FREE (572-3733).
