I Live! 3/20/16
Ecclesiastes 7:2-4 (KJV)
2 It is better to go to the house of mourning, than to go to the house of feasting: for that is the end of all men; and the living will lay it to his heart.
3 Sorrow is better than laughter: for by the sadness of the countenance the heart is made better.
4 The heart of the wise is in the house of mourning; but the heart of fools is in the house of mirth.
Today, at 2:00 PM, we lay to rest a GREAT man of God-

Ya see, "MY heart was made BETTER!"
BECAUSE "the LIVING will LAY IT TO HEART!"
Next Sunday WE will be CELEBRATING the greatest MIRACLE of all time!!!

I have spent my entire life in the fruitless AND win less war against death!
I have feared it, loathed it, avoided it and battled courageously against death!
Death is inevitable!
Hebrews 9:27 (KJV)
27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
As I sit here this morning, in the "cool of the day," I think of/mourn over the too many "losses" in my own life.
I think of/mourn over little Conner, age 5 months, daughter Wendy, age 39, and precious grandson Devin, age 22-all "defeated" by death.
I gave death my best shot-I swung for the fences-yet resoundingly "lost!"
Of Connor's death, I wrote long ago:
"
This life on earth has much less meaning! Heaven is more eagerly anticipated, death is much less feared.
One by one, God removes our toys of this life, wisely knowing they are but for a mere moment!"
BUT GOD!!!
Because of "Easter/Resurrection Sunday, God WILL:
