FALL FAMILY NIGHT 10/31
Mark your calendars for Monday, October 31, 2022 from 5-7 PM as we gather at Point Pleasant for our annual Fall Family Night. Come climb a rock wall, do some gladiator jousting, and get your fill of candy, sno-cones, popcorn, hot dogs, and cotton candy! Come dressed in your best costumes (no occult themes, please) and come enjoy a night of fun and fellowship!

COLLEGE CARE PACKAGES
We have the opportunity to send over 50 care packages this year to our college students! Please bring in baked goods, individually packaged snacks and letters to our college students. Anything that you can provide will be greatly appreciated, but the letters are treasured most! All items and letters must be placed in the boxes in Telfair and Olmstead Hall boxes by November 6. A list of names of our college students will be provided soon.

NEW BOOK: THE EXCELLENCIES OF GOD
Mr. Johnson's newest book,The Excellencies of God, has just been released. This new book explores multiple aspects of the divine character of our God and shows how they play a crucial role in our experience as Christians. FALL INQUIRERS' CLASS
This year's Fall Inquirers' Class began Sunday, October 2 and will continue through November 20. It takes place in Telfair Hall during the 9:00 a.m. Sunday School hour. The objective of this class is to introduce interested persons to the history, doctrine, practices, and people of our church. All are welcome and nursery is provided. There is no registration for this class.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
It’s that time of year again! 100 Operation Christmas Child boxes have been assembled and placed in the Fellowship Hall and Narthex. Take a box, fill it, and return by November 13. Please be sure to place $10 for shipping costs in your box. Make checks payable to Samaritan's Purse, and note on the memo line for Operation Christmas Child. VERITAS ACADEMY'S 25th ANNIVERSARY GALA
Veritas Academy invites members of the Independent Presbyterian Church to attend our 25th Anniversary Gala on October 21, 2022. Our "Legacy of Truth" Gala will be held at the Salzburg Ballroom at the JW Marriott Plant Riverside. The evening will feature a legacy reception, dinner, student presentations, a benefit auction, and a keynote address from Dr. Burk Parsons, senior pastor of Saint Andrew’s Chapel in Sanford, Florida, editor of Tabletalk, a Ligonier Ministries teaching fellow, and a visiting lecturer at Reformed Theological Seminary.

WOC FALL BIBLE STUDY

The Fall Sunday School quarter begins at the new time (9:00 AM - 9:40 AM). For details about your Sunday school class, visit the website. This quarter is not elective, so you will return to the class that corresponds to your age.

BIBLE READING PLAN FOR 2022
For 2022, we will offer the Ligonier Tabletalk Bible reading plan. Hard copies will be available on Sundays and in the church office, you can use the provided pdf or utilize the Ligonier app on your smartphone or tablet. The TableTalk Reading plan has two readings each day, one from the Old Testament and one from the New Testament. We trust that this plan will help you develop a healthy habit of reading your Bible daily. Ligonier also offers a variety of reading plans designed to help you prioritize reading God's word daily.
