ACIP Updates Flu Vaccination Recommendations

RSV Season August 2023

The RSV-NET Interactive Dashboard shows for the 2022-2023 RSV season in the U.S., the overall rate of related hospitalizations was 50.9 per 100,000 people. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report presented the seasonality of RSV in the U.S. from 2017–2023.
FDA Approves First Vaccine for Pregnant Individuals to prevent RSV in Infants 
Today, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved Abrysvo (Respiratory Syncytial Virus Vaccine), the first vaccine approved for use in pregnant individuals to prevent lower respiratory tract disease (LRTD) and severe LRTD caused by respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) in infants from birth through 6 months of age.
